World Cruise Playlist

Golden Oldies and more

overcast 28 °C

It's time to talk about the music being played on the world cruise.

Somebody has been paying close attention to the passenger demographic. Or they scanned my music collection when I boarded.

Songs I have heard in the last day or so while around the lifts and stairs include-

Calendar Girl - Neil Sedaka
The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face - Roberta Flack
Poetry in Motion - Johnny Tillotson
Endless Love - Diana Ross and Lionel Ritchie
Please Mr. Postman - The Marvelettes (not the Beatles cover version)
Ain't that A Shame - Fats Domino
(Once, Twice) Three Times A Lady - Lionel Ritchie
The Name of the Gane - ABBA
I Love the Nightlife - Alicia Bridges
Chapel of Love - The Dixie Cups
Try and Love Again - The Eagles
Runaway - Del Shannon
Tracks of My Tears - Smokie Robinson
Shake, Rattle and Roll - Bill Hailey
Is This Love - Bob Marley
Solsbury Hill - Peter Gabriel
Dancing Queen - ABBA
We Are Family - Sister Sledge

So far, nobody is complaining and there are plenty of people singing along.

This morning I ventured into the buffet for an early breakfast and the music was quiet and completely different.

A selection of new and obscure world pop music was playing. and yet the first track I heard was also one from my collection.

For those of you unfamiliar with Ta Douler by Camile. Here is a video:-
