After a sea voyage which has been compared to the epic efforts of Cook and Bligh (in that we were heading in the same direction), we have made it to our second port of call at Komodo Island in Indonesia. The seas have been calm and the weather warm as we crossed the ocean at a constant and presumably fuel-efficient pace.

Shore excursions at Komodo Island are limited to a walk to view Dragons while escorted by a guide armed with a wooden stick. So we have opted to view the islands from the ship. The view is great as we sit in a channel between two volcanic islands and see the small fishing boats motor past emitting smoke and noise well out of proportion to their small horsepower motors. Tenders have been launched and passengers counted off and back onto the ship before we set sail again for Singapore.
